New South Wales to remove three shark nets in a step forward for marine life and beach safety

In a major step forward for ocean protection, the NSW Government has announced it will remove 3 of 51 shark nets. The Government is asking Waverley, Northern Beaches and Central Coast councils to choose one beach each that they would like to see net-free next season.
