This newborn La Plata dolphin was found on the beach in Uruguay entangled in a fishing net, along with a baby penguin. The baby dolphin still had her umbilical cord attached, which meant she had only just been born. She was rescued by a local marine rescue centre, and is being nursed back to health. Here, Richard Tesore, the head of the centre, feeds the dolphin, who was nicknamed “Nipper”, milk in a bottle.
